We would love for you to become part of a group of people who love God, love children, and love serving on mission together! - Pre-School (serving kids ages birth to five years old) and
- Uptown (serving grades K-5).
Ways to serve include:
- Rotational Volunteers (serve 1-2 times per month at 9:00 or 11:00 in the nursery or in a preschool classroom as a teacher’s helper.
- Teacher/small group leader – teaches weekly at 9:00 or 11:00 in a preschool classroom or in Uptown (grades K-5 small groups). Engages children in discussion and activities relating to the day’s Bible story.
- Large Group Leader – leads the large group gathering @ 9:00 or 11:00 in preschool or Uptown. We worship/sing together, watch the video lesson, and discuss the days' teaching points, key verse passage, etc. The lesson is scripted for you.
- BK Visitor’s Kiosk: Greets and gathers information from first-time visitors; fills out name tags and directs visitors to classrooms.
Currently our needs are:
- BK Visitor's Kiosk Attendant @ 9:00 AM (Serves weekly, needs a working knowledge of ministries at The Bridge)
- Rotational Volunteers: (Once a month) BK pre-school needs 14 weekly teachers and large group leaders working alongside 52-65 rotational volunteers each month, depending on the number of Sundays.
- Teacher Openings:
- Toddlers @ 11:00
- Beginners @ 11:00
- 2/3 Grade boys @ 11:00
Your next steps to take before serving with children or youth:
- Complete and return a volunteer application. You can print a copy here, or pick up a copy at the BK visitor's kiosk any Sunday. (That little desk in the Bridge Kid’s hallway.) Mail your completed form to Bridge Kids, 301 Lore Ln, Leadington, MO 63601 or you can drop it off at the Info Desk in the church lobby.
- All of our volunteers and church staff are required to do two things before volunteering to serve with children/youth:
- Complete a background check. (Follow this link to a secure site to begin the background check. The church is automatically billed for the service.)
- Complete abuse awareness training (an online course provided free of charge.) Once you have completed your initial application/background check you will be sent a separate email from MinistrySafe.com with a link to the online training course. It takes about 2.5 hours and can be done in multiple sessions. Once you have completed the course and received a passing mark, the church will be billed for the service and provided your certificate of completion.
If you move to a weekly teaching position, we ask that you also complete church membership by attending Next Step classes.
